The Choir Gallery Arising from a structural report by an engineer that we recently commissioned on the church building and the annual survey of our insurances (which resulted in a saving of €2000), it was indicated by both the insurance and the engineer that the use of the gallery is unsafe in the event of an emergency for health and safety reasons. Reflecting on this advice, one proposal is to provide a space in the church for the choir and to upgrade the present organ that is there. The old pipe organ in the gallery would be retained in situ. A demonstration in the church of a suitable organ has been arranged for Wednesday evening next 16 May at 7.30 p.m
All parishioners are invited to come and listen
Our Need to be VigilantIt has come to our notice in the past few weeks that some of the dues envelopes may have been taken from the large stand-alone box near the altar. To confirm our suspicion we placed some blank envelopes into this box on three different occasions and each time these envelopes were taken. Our security cameras have recorded people and their profiles are now with the Gardaí. This kind of behaviour is so disappointing especially in the Church. We suggest that parishioners post their dues envelopes through the letterbox of the Parish Office or one of the priests' houses. For more security it may be better to personally hand them to the sacristan, parish secretary or one of the priests. Meanwhile, we hope to make this stand-alone box much more secure for the future. These are difficult times for everyone financially and we realise that your donations are a sacrifice so we would like, once again, to acknowledge your wonderful support and generosity.

First Holy CommunionNext Saturday the First Holy Communion Mass will be at 10.30. 12 noon Mass will be celebrated as usual.
Parish Accounts. The Financial Statement for the year ending December 31st 2011 is available at the doors of the Church. Please feel free to take a copy. We wish to sincerely thank Phil O'Donovan who has prepared these accounts so diligently and professionally.
